Finned tubes carry extended surface on the outside of the tube, multiplying the heat transfer area within the same shell or bundle volume. They are specified wherever the outside film coefficient limits the design, which in practice means air-cooled exchangers, economisers and most gas-side service. The fin type is chosen for the operating temperature, the risk of fin-to-tube separation and the cleaning regime.

Our main catalogue covers steel pipes and tubes in seamless, welded and ERW form across stainless, carbon, alloy, duplex, nickel, cupro-nickel and titanium grades. Two application-specific families sit alongside them. Boiler tubes cover water wall, economiser, superheater and reheater duty in carbon and chrome-moly grades. Heat exchanger and condenser tubes are supplied straight, U-bent to drawing or finned, in the full grade range.
