Stainless Steel 446 Flanges are manufactured by Solitaire Overseas, according to the requirements of ASTM A182 F446, the highest-chromium (23–27%) ferritic grade in the 400 series that is specifically designed for use in environments that demand outstanding resistance to oxidation and sulphur-atmosphere corrosion at temperatures up to 1149°C (2100°F). These flanges are NACE MR0175 / ISO15156 compliant in both ASME B16.5 and B16.47 sizes and are inspected by third parties SGS and Bureau Veritas as required.
They are resistant to sulfur containing gases and thermal oxidation and hence they make a reliable material for the challenging operating conditions.
