Stainless Steel 310S Fittings Manufacturer and Exporter

Stainless Steel 310S Fittings are fittings that are made of austenitic high-temperature stainless steel, which are used to make pipes that are used for high-temperature environments and have a strong resistance to oxidation. The low carbon version of grade 310S contains less carbide precipitation during welding and enhances weldability and fabrication properties. The Stainless Steel 310S Fittings are made from 24% to 26% chromium along with 19% to 22% nickel. These alloys give very good resistance to scaling and oxidation at continuous temperatures of up to 1100 °C. The minimum tensile strength and yield strength for Stainless Steel 310S Fittings are 515 Mpa and 205 Mpa respectively, suitable for high pressure and high temperature industrial applications. Stainless Steel 310S Fittings consist of less carbon than SS 310 Fittings, thus being less vulnerable to corrosion post welding. ASTM A403 WP310S Buttweld Fittings have extensive applications in the petrochemical plants, furnaces, heat exchangers, boilers, thermal processing units, refineries and power generation industries where they must meet the demands of high-temperature use. Solitaire Overseas is a well-known manufacturer and supplier of high quality Stainless Steel 310S Fittings, precision engineered to meet international quality and dimension standards for industrial piping systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

SS 310S has a maximum carbon of 0.08% compared to 0.25% for SS 310. The reduced carbon in 310S provides better weldability and lower risk of sensitization. For welded assemblies in high-temperature service, 310S is the recommended choice. Standard 310 is available for non-welded components where slightly higher strength may be beneficial.

SS 310S fittings can operate continuously up to 1100°C (2000°F) in oxidizing conditions. In cyclic service (thermal shock), the effective temperature should be assessed by a metallurgist.

Solitaire Overseas supplies SS 310S buttweld fittings (elbows, tees, reducers, caps, stub ends) to ASME B16.9, and forged socket weld and threaded fittings to ASME B16.11. Confirm specific item availability at time of enquiry.

No. SS 314 (UNS S31400) has higher silicon content (1.5–3.0%) for improved carburizing resistance, while 310S has silicon limited to 1.5% max. For carburizing furnace applications, 314 may be specified over 310S.

Yes. All SS 310S fittings are supplied with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates. Third-party inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV or Intertek is available on request.
