UNS S32615 Plate is a high-silicon austenitic stainless steel flat material that is offered by Solitaire Overseas as a universal material in terms of critical structural and corrosion-resistant services. According to the UNS S32615 Specifications, this grade features a minimum tensile strength of 550 MPa and excellent properties against sulfuric acid of all concentrations.


This grade of plate will be the one used in constructing acid storage tanks, reactor liners, and tank shells. In compliance with ASTM A240 equivalent, and cross-referenced to ASTM A959, UNS S32615 plates provide dimensional stability as well as excellent mechanical performance even when in high service temperatures of up to 990degC.

UNS S32615 achieves its mechanical performance through alloying and cold working. The alloy cannot be hardened by heat treatment; solution annealing at 1050–1150°C followed by water quenching is the standard heat treatment to restore optimum corrosion resistance.
