UNS S32615 Fittings

Solitaire Overseas manufactures UNS S32615 Fittings, a high-silicon austenitic alloy conforming toUNS S32615 Specifications, in the form of buttweld elbows, tees, reducers, and caps to ASTM A403 and MSS SP-43 standards. Engineered to be used with UNS S32615 pipe systems, these fittings provide complete chemical and mechanical compatibility in sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and mixed acid service piping systems.

Silicon and copper high pitting and overall corrosion resistance in oxidising and reducing acid composition is also received; the austenitic structure makes fittings ductile and weldable to meet complex chemical plant designs.

UNS S32615 Fittings Industrial Applications

The high-silicon and copper chemistry of UNS S32615 makes it the preferred alloy across the following industries and services:

  • Buttweld elbows and tees in concentrated sulfuric acid pipeline systems.
  • Reducers and couplings for acid transfer lines in chemical production facilities.
  • Fittings for pickling bath piping in metal finishing and galvanising plants.
  • High-purity pharmaceutical process pipeline fittings for corrosive reagents.
  • Fertilizer plant acid distribution network fittings in phosphoric acid service.
  • Petrochemical plant crossovers and branch connections in corrosive streams.
  • Offshore chemical injection system fittings for subsea and topside service.

Mechanical Properties of UNS S32615 Fittings

UNS S32615 achieves its mechanical performance through alloying and cold working. The alloy cannot be hardened by heat treatment; solution annealing at 1050–1150°C followed by water quenching is the standard heat treatment to restore optimum corrosion resistance.
