UNS S32615 Pipe is a highly corrosive media-resistant pipe made of high-silicon austenitic stainless steel. This alloy has good performance, as detailed in the UNS S32615 Specifications, because it has silicon content ranging between 4.8 and 6.0 percent and copper additions of 1.5-2.5 percent in aggressive chemical process environments compared to conventional stainless grades.
UNS S32615 pipes come in seamless and welded options in both ASTM A312 and ASME SA-312 versions, which is why they are the standard of choice in chemical plants, acid production lines, and pickling facilities where the pressure integrity of a pipe is required, as well as pickling facilities in which the long-term corrosion resistance of a choice is essential.
