Zirconium R60702 Heat Exchanger / Condenser is composed of 95.5%- 99.2 % of zirconium and hafnium. It has the maximum hafnium content of about 4.5%. These are available in two chemical grades each possess great corrosion resistance and slightly differ mechanical and physical properties. It is commercially pure grade. It is alloyed with niobium that enhances its strength and formability. The amount of hafnium alloys does not influence mechanical, physical and corrosion resistance property. It is highly reactive metal, has a high tendency for oxygen that results in the formation of a protective oxide layer on the surface of the alloy. This protective layer improves its oxidation resistance property and also enhanced by the heating process.
