A carbon steel high pressure flange is a forged pipe connection component built for Class 600, 900, 1500 and 2500 duty per ASME B16.5 and ASME B16.47, supplied in ASTM A105 forged grade and ASTM A694 high yield grades F42 through F70. These flanges carry heavier hubs and thicker bore sections than standard Class 150 or 300 components, and they are supplied with raised face or ring type joint facing depending on the sealing requirement of the system.
