Solitaire Overseas forges carbon steel small bore fittings in ASTM A105 material, machined to ASME B16.11 dimensions for socket weld and threaded connections. Made from solid killed carbon steel billet rather than pipe or plate, these fittings deliver a higher pressure to size ratio than butt weld equivalents, making them the standard choice for instrumentation lines, hydraulic systems and compact high pressure piping. Our forged range covers NPS 1/8 inch to 4 inch across Class 2000, 3000, 6000 and 9000, with full mill test certification and dimensional inspection on every batch.
See our Carbon Steel Buttweld Fittings range, or reach out for a combined quote covering both.

ASME B16.11 forged fittings are standardized from NPS 1/8 inch through NPS 4 inch; larger diameters are generally served by butt weld fittings instead.
The class number indicates the non-shock working pressure rating at ambient temperature in pounds per square inch; Class 6000 fittings have thicker walls and higher pressure capacity than Class 3000 for the same nominal size.
Threaded fittings are produced in Class 2000, 3000 and 6000, while socket weld fittings are produced in Class 3000, 6000 and 9000; Class 2000 socket weld fittings are not standardized under ASME B16.11.
Heat treatment is not mandatory for standard A105 fittings, but normalizing (A105N) can be specified where improved grain structure and toughness are required, particularly for larger or higher class components.
Standard A105 is not automatically NACE compliant; sulfur content control and supplementary testing per NACE MR0175 can be specified separately for sour service applications.
