Carbon Steel Sockolets are branch outlet fittings that are forged to join a smaller branch pipe to a main pipe with a socket-weld connection. Two typical grades of carbon steel, ASTM A105 and ASTM A105N are known for being of good strength and durability. These fittings come in a variety of sizes and finishes and can be provided in different configurations, including socket-weld, threaded, and butt-weld.
